We told our kids they get a puppy and boy are they excited. They've been asking for YEARS and they weren't giving up. Our neighbors' dogs just had golden retriever puppies and we decided to finally give in. We get to bring her home next month.

What a cutie! I can't imagine raising kids without dogs. We've had one (at least) since Hanna was a baby. They make wonderful vacuum cleaners! lol
what a cute puppy!!! Of course that's what you say at first : ) My recommendation, just getting a puppy of our own- don't leave any toy, shoe or paper products within sight... they make great CHEW toys!
Cute puppy!! If and that is a big IF we got a dog I would consider a Lab. They are really good dogs. We had a black lab when I was younger. Loved her. Have fun with the puppy YEARS. :o) It is good that your kids are big and can help out.
