Sunny

We're hoping this is a pregnant dog =) Puppies just before Easter.

Stylin' Girls!

Aubree's hair for Valentine's Day
Lyndi's new hat

Erin's new haircut

Erin and Davin were looking very 1930's, so we had to have a photo shoot. Then Lyndi wanted to join in. They turned out so adorable =)

Merry Christmas!
I am not sending out cards this year, so this is it. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas season and a Happy New Year.
One of the many crafts I've been working on. I learned to solder and I've made charms, magnets, and Christmas ornaments. They are so fun to make!

We went trudging through 4 feet of snow to find this beautiful tree. We had so much fun decorating it =)

I just cut my hair so I don't even look like this anymore! It's a lot shorter and a lot blonder.

My spring piano recital. 20 students! My biggest ever =) They all did great. Lyndi had a bad case of nerves and couldn't remember her song at all when she sat down to run through it before everyone came. She'd had that song memorized for months, but I ran home and got her book and she played it with the book. As soon as everyone left she sat down and played it from memory perfectly.

Davin sporting his new underwear and sister's i-pod.
Here's a quick catch up for Feb-April =) We went to Zion's recently and took a little walk.

Soccer season came and went. This is Lyndi. The kids enjoy it enough to make it worth the hassle.

We went to Richfield over Easter/Conference weekend. Decorated even more eggs and then rolled them, went to the Indian Museum, and got snowed on.

Kayla won the district Geography Bee. She won her school and then went on to District. (It doesn't go any higher). Good job Kayla!

Easter was fabulous. We did all the usual: Decorated eggs, baskets full of stuff in the morning, candy hunt at the park, Rotary car show, and then we went to Richfield for more fun =)

We stayed in a cabin at Brianhead and spent 2 days sledding and skiing. It was SO much fun!

Aubree with her cousin Kenna Shumway.

Davin loves the snow. But not sledding!

We went hiking on New Year's weekend with my sister's family. We didn't go very far from home, but we got a little lost and ended up hiking a lot longer than planned. We blazed our own trails through the pussy willows, scrub oak, and something with some wicked thorns. We also crossed the freezing cold river barefoot, twice. But we found the arch and we got home just in time for the best stew we'd ever tasted, thanks to my mom!

We also saw this cute little porcupine!

Aubree and Kayla modeling some of their items from Santa. He must know we're going to Hawaii in March!

Merry Christmas Everyone! We had a fabulous Christmas and we hope you did too.

My new hutch. Merry Christmas to me! I've been wanting one for quite a while, and it was a super good price and I love it!

Getting Christmas trees the day after Thanksgiving.

This just makes us smile every morning!

Kayla plays the piano for the intermediate school choir.

The St. George Marathon. Darin ran it in 4:00 and 23 seconds! Way to go honey! I got sick and only did 16 miles. Really disappointing after all that training. This was Lindsay and Buzz's first marathon and they did great. Lindsay finished in 4:15, and Buzz came in about an hour later with a very sore and swollen knee.

I haven't written for a long time because nothing major was going on. We've been busy as ever with school starting, bottling and freezing all the produce from our garden, and just every day life. But it's the little things that are the most important, so here are some pictures of the every day...and the once in a lifetime goat hunt.

Summer turning to fall

Peaches galore! We had more peaches than we knew what to do with! We ate them, bottled them, and gave them away. We LOVE our peach tree!
I love this picture! Davin drinking his milk. You can see it running down his tummy.

Darin's once in a lifetime goat hunt. He had a wonderful time and we have goat meat in the freezer.

Oregon Coast

We had the best vacation! We saw some incredible stuff in the tide pools, lots of sea stars, even a sun star, which is pretty rare. (This is a sea star)
We caught crabs off the dock, and ate them that afternoon.

We had a bonfire, dutch oven dinner, s'mores, and fireworks on the beach. And that was just a few of the fun things we did!

Lake Tahoe

We hiked to Vikingsholm Castle and took a tour.
We rented a paddle boat.

And we played on the beach for a long time!

4th of July!!!

Grandpa's back yard in Richfield. We had such a fun time!

The big girls got stars in their hair this year. They thought that was pretty cool.

Puppy Love

Her name is Sunny and she's a golden retriever. We got her on Friday and we all adore her! She is so smart. She has already learned how to sit, stay, and come and potties frequently in the right place. And to be honest, she potties frequently in the wrong spot too. But she's getting there. She doesn't whine and cry at night and loves to play. We took her with us to Sand Hollow Reservoir and had such fun watching her swim and play at the beach!

Sweet Boy

I couldn't resist putting this one in. He is such a little cuddly boy! He gives me big hugs all day : )

Merry Month of May

Cousins at Capital Reef over Memorial Day weekend. We waited for the rain to stop, spread a picnic lunch, and played a game of kickball. Very fun!

Erin graduated from her first year of Joy School. Oh Boy, another round of joy...
